Well the Winter sure is long, and it's hard to say,

"Who might be goin', and who's a gonna play"?

It's easy to be wrong, but it's right to say,

Ya don't know whatcha got 'til St. Patrick's day.

So we're hoping for a fine Color Guard with rosy cheeks,

A bunch of fife players and some drummer geeks,

A glocker, a twirler, the majorette,

But sure as you're born,

Loveliest of all would be four lines of horns.
